Try the ghost chili lamb vindaloo if you want a notably spicy option.

Studio City
Atwater
One commenter calls it a bargain, while another reports inconsistent food quality; the evidence is mixed.
This place is the truth!
The best bargain is Sweets & Spices in Atwater for sure, but the atmosphere is cafeteria/storeroom
This is fine if you want a fast cheap meal but the food isn’t that great. It can be over salted, too spicy, not spicy enough, cold, rice is hard etc. it’s inconsistent. I also found glass in my curry once. I used to go all the time but stopped cuz it’s not even worth the $7 curry plate.
Tara’s is described as more Nepalese than Indian; one commenter especially recommends the momos.
Wilshire
Try the chicken tikka masala; one diner specifically recommends it.
Woodland Hills
Try the tandoori chicken tikka (not masala); the sweet potato chaat with frozen yogurt was also praised.
I went there this weekend. Their meat dishes were delicious.
My wife and I got a notably fantastic dinner at Brick Lane. She loves the Indian restaurants in London like Dishoom, and while this might not be Dishoom level, it’s inspired by the London style take on Indian fine dining, and very very good. The tandoori chicken tikka (not masala) made chicken inspiring again. Also of note was a sweet potato chaat accompanied with frozen yogurt (not like pinkberry, more like plain yogurt that had been frozen) that was somehow completely transcendent.
