    Capital Restaurant

    Chinatown

Try the salt-and-pepper wings; one diner found them salty.

    1. Capital Restaurant in Chinatown for their fried chicken wings

    2. Capital Restaurant Salt n Pepper Fried Chicken Wings about $17, all midjoint wings. Beef Hor Fun is also good.

    3. Check out Capital Restaurant on Clay St. in Chinatown. Lots of ABC (American born Chinese) there so it’s somewhat authentic but my friends say it’s Americanized. I love the place. They have every version of a Panda Express entree. Try their fried chicken wings though. Sooooo good!

Try the chicken sandwich at the Irving St. location.

    1. A stroll in Alamo Sq Park (Full House park) and fried chicken sandwich at Foghorn Taproom (great local beers).

    1. The Bird for fried chicken sandwiches.

    2. My vote though would be to go a bit out of your way to the East to visit The Bird for some of the best fried chicken sandwiches

    3. The Bird is great as a lunch option, delicious fried chicken. Agree it’s not a must-have.

    Jollibee

At the downtown SF location, try the fried chicken: diners praised it, with one saying it was pretty much straight from the fryer.

    1. Meh. I think its ok. Mango pies and fried chicken with gravy do it for me. I dont like their palabok

    2. It's super clean, the staff are really friendly, and loved the spicy chicken sandwich and mango pie. They were out of ube pie when I went. There was a line, but it moves relatively fast

    3. Just went! Fried chicken and adobo rice were on point! It's tiny and was quite packed on a sunday.

    Worth knowing

    • Multiple commenters raised availability concerns; one reported "Jollibee that wanted to open a fried chicken for the last 6 years that has been paying commercial rent per sq foot without any paying customers" (branch unspecified).
